Dance Auditions Union/Non-Union
For Tour and Future Broadway Replacements

Seeking dancers for the National Tour of the Broadway musical SWING! and for future replacements for the New York company playing at the St. James Theatre. This is an AGVA principal production contract (New York point of origin contract).

The New York Swing Company is seeking male and female dancers with extensive dance training in either jazz or ballet. We are especially interested in men and women who are capable of doing many partnered dance styles, including Latin dance. 

Women must be 5'4" or under. Men must be 5'9" or over and have extremely strong partnering skills as well as strong technicians. Acrobatics, singing, and tap ability a plus.

Dancers must be available end of September. National Tour rehearses in New York and opens in L.A. end of November.

For out of town dancers who will be coming to New York to audition, this special call will be on May 15th, 2000. The audition will be held at Musical Theater Works (tel: 212-677-0040) located at 440 Lafayette St. at Astor Place, 3rd floor. Male dancers: 10:00-1:30, Female dancers: 2:15-5:15.

Sign up for men begins at 9:30 a.m. Sign up for women begins at 1:30 p.m. Please note that we will see union people first (Agva, Equity, Agma). Callbacks will be within the same week. For men who tap, please bring tap shoes along with jazz sneakers. For women, please bring jazz sneakers and character heels. 

If you sing, please bring sheet music. 

ALL MUST bring pic & resume. Union dancers must bring current Union card with them.
